5.   Methods of Applying: Application  may be made in person at the State Department of Education or through a local GED Testing Center. Military personnel and those residing out of state apply to the Department of Education on forms available upon request.

 

6.   Official Transcripts: Test scores are accepted as official only when reported

      directly by:

 

a.    Official GED Testing Center

b.    Transcript Service of the Defense Activity for Non‑Traditional Education

       Support (DANTES)

c.    Veterans Administration Hospital and Centers

d     The GED Testing Service

 

7. Fees:

 

a.   Testing at Official Testing Centers is $55.00.  This rate includes issuance of diploma and copy of testing score

 

b.   Transcript charge $5.00: NOTE: Persons, tested in Rhode Island, who wish to obtain an official transcript of scores on the GED Test can contact the Rhode Island Department of Education at the address below

 

c.   Issuance of diploma is $5.00 when tests are taken in the service or at official

GED testing centers outside of Rhode Island
